Iqbal Sumon and Khaleda Yeasmin Eti enthralled the audience at their first-ever duet musical in public appearance on Friday evening.
Organised by ‘Setu’ to celebrate its three decades, the event took place at Dipanpur Book Cafe in Dhaka, said a press statement.
Sumon, a singer based in Narayanganj, performed Nazrul Sangeet in which he has specialisation along with patriotic and modern songs.
Having more than three decades of devotion to music, he is a regular performer in different national and local events. Iqbal, the first Masters batch of the Music Department at University of Dhaka, is a dedicated singer and trainer of music. He is now a deputy programme officer at Radio Narayanganj.
Eti, though not a professional artiste, has a fascinating command over Tagore song and also performed a few popular Bengali songs from the 50s and 60s.
