Women comprise only 15 per cent of the total workforce employed in the country’s ICT industry, a survey result has revealed.
According to the study, smaller e-commerce companies have higher concentration of female employees compared to the workforce employed in software and hardware-focused companies.
The study, titled ‘Women Participation in the ICT Industry’, has been conducted by Preneur Lab Limited which designs innovative digital solutions and community-based programmes for women, young people and entrepreneurs in rural and urban areas.
