The Internet of People (IoP) says it is creating a new internet allowing for decentralisation and censorship around the world.
Thus it is helping everyone connect and do business free from censorship or obstruction and without compromising their digital privacy, it said in a Media OutReach-forwarded statement on Tuesday.
A digital cooperative using blockchain and revolutionary peer-to-peer technology, the IoP also cited various challenges facing the modern Internet over the past decade.
The modern Internet has transformed all of people’s lives, but rapid advancement has come with huge costs.
Noting that the world is now on the brink of a data crisis, the statement said, “And once your data and identity are out in the wild, there's no way to reclaim them.”
The crypto was to be the answer restoring power to the internet users, but if anything, the problem has been worse with the lure of ICO funding model trumping the values the crypto was built on, it added.
At present, the IoP has members from almost 40 countries and is, as always, looking for more to join them and make the crypfor dream a reality.
