Role: Government Relations Advisor

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Bangladesh government's formal primary education system and central, divisional and local level stakeholders in the primary education system.
  • Liaison with the program team proactively coordinates and communicates with related departments for approvals, issues, and follow-ups concerning any application. Obtain approval from the Upazila and district-level education administrations, NAPE, NCTB, BNFE, DPE, MoPME, and reporting.
  • Gather and consolidate key information and feedback from the relevant ministries/directorates to inform and improve implementation at local levels.
  • Actively engage relevant bureaus and units of the MoPME and Ministry of Education Office, and the local education Offices in program activities to strengthen institutional capacities.

Requirements: 

  • Masters' degree in a related field includes Social Science, Economics, Public Administration, and International Relations.
  • Twelve years of relevant experience working in this or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the education sector in Bangladesh or education ministries of BGD.
  • Experience implementing development programs – preferably with USAID -- including planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, problem-solving, and financial management will be an asset.
