Job Responsibilities
- Under the overall responsibility of the SCOPE Operations Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the implementation of SCOPE and managing SCOPE activities for WFP in Bangladesh. This includes advice and support to the WFP team in the field and cooperating partners for operations, decisions, and other relevant guidelines with frequent missions to areas of implementation.
The IT Operations Associate will be assigned the following duties -
- Support the day-to-day activities of the SCOPE team including supervision of the ongoing SCOPE program activities such as Beneficiary data management and distribution.
- Carry out baseline assessments and track business requirements to ensure efficient management of change.
- Identify functionality gaps arising from deep field operational requirements and suggest improvements to methods and processes to support the continuous improvement of SCOPE services.
- Test and analyze IT solutions in relation to SCOPE and document the match against business requirements for quality and accuracy
- Analyze beneficiary database updates for import into SCOPE ensuring the data quality is maintained.
- Monitor and analyze performance trends of SCOPE activities and propose improvements and optimization of resources.
- Establish and maintain close partnerships with stakeholders to effectively meet their needs.
- Identify commonly recurring issues for assistance and provide advice on how those can be prevented or minimized through training, user awareness, changes in configuration.
- Provide second level support for the Beneficiary Service Desk to ensure calls from beneficiaries are attended to and organize the beneficiaries complaints, feedback, incidents, and inquiries in a form of reports to management.
- Support the end-to-end SCOPE beneficiary registration, project/intervention setup, SCOPE Mobile registration Application, cards printing and support POS operations.

Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, CSE or other relevant disciplines is required. Masters or equivalent will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with 3 years of experience in IT, SCOPE or Relevant Fields in humanitarian response is required.

Additional Requirements
- Has progressive experience in Beneficiary data management tools/system, information systems and/or business systems implementation and Programme implementation.
- Experience in implementing the SCOPE database and transfer mechanism is an added advantage.
- Has to experience in service provision and support.

- Awareness of overall IT governance structure and system architecture development to support processes and assist in the design of interaction between systems.
- Demonstrate continuous updates of knowledge about new technologies and product modifications.
- Understand and follow established standards and protocols for service excellence in IT operations to maintain quality of delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Exhibit detailed understanding of customer IT requests to effectively address and manage internal customers ‘needs including identification of recurrent issues to propose long-term solutions.

- Good communication skills are required to give and receive information and work with a variety of individuals.
