Job Responsibilities:

Expected impact and results

The expected outputs include:

  • Communications (e.g. brochures, posters, clips, tax academy training materials), and report thereon including an evaluation.
  • Raising awareness is needed. While the target group for this sub-activity is NBR, the project will liaise with the ACC and other relevant stakeholders to ensure coordinated conductive procedures are in place to support the whistle-blower protection act.
  • For the communication campaign to be successful, the incumbent will develop an engagement strategy with specific communication plans with the following outputs:

o Communication and Visibility Plans

o Communication materials for NBR

o Outreach activities

o Taxpayer awareness programs

Employment Status: Full-time

Working Hours: 50 workdays [WD] (with the possibility of extension)

Duration: Early March 2022

Workplace: Hybrid

Educational Requirements:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.

Skill Requirements: 

  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, photo and video editing, and related business and social communication tools.
  • Good English and excellent command of Bengali (articulate speaking and professional writing are essential).

General Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years experience in communications strategy development.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience in newsletter design, copywriting and editing.
  • Content writing experience for all media platforms.
  • Proven social media and interpersonal networking expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strategic and creative mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A portfolio of work is available for review.

Specific Experience Requirements:

  • Experience developing or deploying awareness campaigns within government is particularly valuable.
  • Experience in Bangladesh corporate or government communications environment is a prerequisite.
  • Experience in managing internal and external communications and representing the organisation to external clients, taxpayers or customers would be an added benefit.
  • Experience in web design and content production is a plus.
  • Graphic design is an added advantage.

Job Location: 

Consulting execution: 50 WD conducted in Dhaka, Bangladesh (primarily the work is Dhaka-based, but field visits outside Dhaka may be required depending on the scope of work).

Salary: Negotiable
