WATCHING television for long hours can be harmful. Many of us watch TV for long hours without knowing its serious health hazards. Watching TV long time is a sedentary work and it leads us to many health complications like increased chances of obesity, eye problem, diabetes, high blood pressure etc. Instead of watching TV we can play with our children which will create a deep parent-child bonding. I remember my dad used to tell me stories during the night time very often and it is a most endearing memory of my life. We can read a good book with our children or alone and have some good time. People in developed societies around the world are watching TV more than before, but it cannot be said that they are doing so for an unusually long time.
Many people I know do absolutely nothing during the holidays, but remain glued to their television sets. Now we have so many channels and they are offering entertainment programmes round the clock. It is not easy to get rid of the habit, but most of us realize the impact of watching TV for long hours.
