Traffic jam is eating away much of our working hours and being a cause for economic loss. If we can reduce traffic jam we will be able to save many working hours. We see in our city too many u-turns which have become a reason for traffic jam. Today when I was coming to office from Badda area I saw a u-turn near Badda general hospital closed and surprisingly I found no usual traffic jam there. It is a good step from the traffic department and I hope they will close all the u-turns which cause traffic jam in our city.
Some roads are narrow and a u-turn makes the traffic slow there, which affect the nearby areas. In our city, we see too many private vehicles and we do not have enough roads to ply those. The government should limit the use of private cars and bring more public buses on roads. Too many private vehicles and dilapidated roads are choking up life from our city traffic. It is high time we brought speed in our life as we cannot afford to waste away our time in regular traffic gridlock.
