TOBACCO is injurious to health and no matter in what form it is taken. Tobacco used for cigarette, bidi, jarda, gul, gutka etc. are all dangerous for our health as it contains many injurious chemicals.
The number of tobacco users is not decreasing in the developing countries although the number is declining in the developed ones as the citizens of the developed countries are more health conscious.
It is extremely difficult to give up smoking or chewing tobacco once the habit is formed. It will need a long and protracted awareness campaign highlighting the damages done by this deadly habit.
Our health is a gift of mother Nature and we should protect it at all costs. The World Health Organization (WHO) is continuing its war against tobacco menace.
Smoking and use of tobacco is a preventable cause of death. I think enough is not being done in our country to fight this menace.
Ongoing campaigns should be stepped up and new campaigns should be devised to keep people away from tobacco.
