PEOPLE use roads to go from to one place to another. There are some roads where some miscreants are chopping trees frequently for business purposes. In rainy season when there is heavy rainfall, soil erosion is seen beside roads. Roads can be easily saved from soil erosion if sufficient trees are planted on both sides of the roads. There are a lot other benefits of planting trees beside roads. Trees provide oxygen to us and we inhale oxygen to live.
Several problems may occur if roads do not have abundant number of tress. For example, condition of roads deteriorates in rainy season. There occur several holes on the roads and water gets stuck there. It becomes increasingly difficult for vehicles to ply on these roads. Every year the government has to allocate funds to repair the roads. If more trees are planted beside roads, problems will be fewer and soil balance can be maintained.
The government ought to focus not only on tree plantation beside the roads but also keep vigilant eyes on the miscreants who chop trees illegally to make money. If this is done, we shall be able to prevent serious damages to our roads.
