MANPOWER market is fast expanding in Japan due to the Japanese government's concentration on some sectors including education. In this way, Bangladesh has become one of the top sources of foreign students for Japan. Japan has been contributing to our development efforts through aids and grants and investment in many sectors over the decades since our independence. As Bangladesh is becoming stronger in the IT sector, it is an opportunity for us to grab the benefits of recruitment and education provided by Japan. Several companies in the country's IT sector are working in Bangladesh to utilise this opportunity. Daffodil Japan IT (DJIT) is one of the Japanese companies working for creating opportunities for Bangladeshis in Japan. Actually, the company is working for Bangladeshi IT professionals and students who are eager to move to Japan to pursue their academic career. Although language remains the main barrier, an expert team including Japanese and Bangladeshi teachers is teaching at DJIT to help Bangladeshi nationals learn Japanese language. In the last NAT test examination in Bangladesh, DJIT students had highest success rate than other language institutes.
Vietnam is a strong competitor for Bangladesh due to its government's intervention to introduce Japanese language at the elementary level. Most of the Vietnamese youngsters are now learning Japanese as the second language which gives them a competitive advantage to avail opportunities offered by the Japanese government. If the government of Bangladesh introduces a similar facility, it will give competitive advantage to the Bangladeshi job seekers, students as well as businessmen. Since Japan is the third largest economy and highly advanced in technology, our country will be immensely benefited through close collaboration with Japan.
