The Indian Premier League (IPL) has really caught the attention of the cricket-loving world. As we have two of our premier cricketers performing there creditably, the interest and attention of the people of Bangladesh are mounting higher with every passing day. The way Mustafizur Rahman has been playing from the beginning, he has become the most talked-about player in the ongoing IPL. He will join Sussex in the coming season in England and speculations are already afloat about his possible participation in Big Bash T20 League in Australia. Our ace cricketer Shakib, one of the top all-rounders of the world, is playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and he has come back to his form in his last match. He did not perform very well in previous matches, but has proved in his last outing that talents like him can not be suppressed for long. I am sure, he continue to perform creditably in his next matches and earn laurels for himself and his country.
IPL match has become a laudable source of entertainment for our people and we see people thronging around TV sets when the matches are on. Commentators like the cricket legends of Sunil Gavaskar, Wasim Akram, Nadjot Singh Sidhu, Waqar Younis and Azharuddin have added colour to the tournament. Cricket Commentary has become an art and adds more excitement to an absorbing match of cricket. Twenty-twenty cricket has come to stay although initially many cricket pundits doubted about its durability. But now this short form of cricket has become biggest crowd puller. Three cheers for 20/20 cricket!
