KHADIJA is fighting for her life. Doctors have almost given up their hopes to keep her alive. An innocent girl named Khadija was brutally attacked by a Sylhet Chatra League leader. The criminal is now in police custody.
Such incidents and crimes against women are often happening in our country. Everybody feels that the attackers should be given the ultimate punishment under law. The innocent face of Khadija is haunting all conscious people and everyone is praying that she will come back from the jaws of death. As we see the video footage of the dastardly attack on Khadija, we wonder how a human being can be so brutal and do such thing to a fellow human being. A bystander captured the video with his cell phone camera as many other people were watching the incident standing nearby.
This incident gives a clear picture of helplessness of the common people and we remain silent spectators who have lost their voice and power to protest against crime and injustice. We pray to the almighty for her recovery and request the government to send her abroad for better treatment if she survives.
