Harassment in public hospitals

GETTING a seat at a government hospital is almost an impossible task for patients. A patient without any reference from top officials can never get a seat in a government hospital. A patient has to go to a hospital for a seat for days together. Moreover a kind of dalal (broker) acts as intermediary for managing a seat in exchange for money which is often difficult for the poor patient to afford.
The hospital authority must take initiative to drive away these brokers and ensure an environment so that proper allocation of seat is made to those patients who are genuinely in need of a seat for treatment.  Everyone should have equal access to seats and those should be allocated on the basis of doctors' recommendations on first-come-first-serve basis and stern action should be taken against so called dalals. We hope the authorities concerned will take necessary action in this respect immediately.
