THE world is mourning the death of mercurial leader of Cuba, Fidel Castro. Bangladesh is also mourning the sad demise of this great revolutionary leader. He was one of the most prominent leaders that the communists have ever produced. He looked upon the US as the worst colonial power and had a bitter relationship with them. The ice however started melting at the fag end of his life and with President Obama in power there were indications of better relationship between Cuba and the US.
Fidel Castro is the first foreigner to be awarded the 'Order of Lenin' award from the Russian government and not once but thrice.
He also won South Africa's highest civilian award "the order of good hope". He is a legend and Cuba will miss his flamboyant and magical leadership.
