WE cannot deny that the standard of education in our country is slipping downward. Students and their parents are more interested in obtaining good marks than acquiring knowledge. We see plenty of GPA 5, but we do not see the knowledge we want to see in our children. The world is going ahead with the 21st century education, but we are still lagging behind.
We have to stop forcing our children with only memorising lessons and instead we should make them think. We should make learning a fun for children instead of making a gruelling effort of swallowing in a set of information and swallowing out whenever required. We are now living in the age of multimedia and students should be taught to enrich their knowledge with the help of computer and internet. There are interactive videos which are easy to learn and do not look boring and tedious. We should adapt ourselves to the teaching style of developed countries and modernise the same to suit our own environment and culture. As we know that today's children are future and they deserve the best that the world could offer.
