OVERSEAS market is assuming a new dimension all over the world. As the world is gradually turning into a global village, Bangladesh has also taken a global approach towards fostering national development. Bangladeshi nationals are now more interested to go abroad for higher studies or better employment than ever before. There are many opportunities for career expansion in the global market particularly for IT and engineering graduates nowadays. Since the scope of study and career building has no limitation, many Bangladeshi nationals are moving abroad every year as students, workers and highly skilled professionals. Many students are settling down in foreign countries after completion of their study.
Moreover, many private and public universities are extending help for their students in many ways. Although scholarship and credit transfer are the best known ways to help students study abroad, many private universities have introduced student exchange programmes with foreign universities. Under such programmes, students get the opportunity to study in foreign universities at a minimum cost.
As a consequence, Japan has opened its market for Asian countries like Vietnam, Nepal, India and Bangladesh. There is a high demand in Japan for workers in different sectors including IT, engineering, construction and health. Besides, the cost of education in Japanese universities is lower compared to other countries. More importantly, Bangladesh will benefit from higher remittance in future as a result of higher employment of its nationals in international market.
