The number of autistic children is rising in the world and Bangladesh is no exception. Autism is a mental condition characterised by difficulty in communicating and forming relationships using language and abstract concepts from the childhood.
Mmedical science has not yet found any cure for autism. Life is very hard for the common man in our country and parents of autistic children face an uphill task in taking care of their special children. Many parents of autistic children shun social life and remain isolated with their children. So we must stand by the autistic children so that they can lead a better life and get integrated with the mainstream society. We should build a society which is friendly towards autistic children.
The government should build special schools in every district so that the autistic children are not deprived of their right to education. Education of the autistic children is expensive as one teacher cannot teach more than two/three children at a time.
The government should come forward and help establish more schools for them so that all autistic children can get special education designed for them. These children deserve a chance to lead a better life.
