The top 10 turnover leaders accounted for 36.2 per cent of the total transactions on the premier bourse on Thursday, with LankaBangla Finance making its way to the top of the turnover chart.
The total turnover stood at Tk 8.54 billion on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), 5.0 per cent down from the previous session.
LankaBangla Finance, the turnover leader, generated a value of Tk 967 million, contributing 11.3 per cent to the total transactions.
Its share gained 1.91 per cent to close at Tk 69.30. The company has been witnessing increasing turnover ahead of its record date for the entitlement of rights issue. The trading of its shares will remain suspended on the record sate-November 26.
AB Bank featured a turnover of Tk 301 million, capturing 3.5 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share closed 2.83 per cent higher at Tk 25.30.
BD Thai Aluminium featured a turnover of Tk 270 million, accounting for 3.2 per cent of the turnover. The company's share ended up 2.74 per cent at Tk 30.
Shahjalal Islami Bank generated a turnover of Tk 251 million, grabbing 2.9 per cent of the turnover. The company's share settled at Tk 34.60, advancing 4.83 per cent.
Dhaka Bank closed at Tk 24.80 with a marginal rise of 1.21 per cent. The company featured a turnover of Tk 247 million or 2.9 per cent of the total.
Paramount Textile featured a turnover of Tk 243 million or 2.8 per cent of the total turnover. The company's share price gained 9.14 per cent to close at Tk 39.40.
Square Pharmaceuticals posted a turnover of Tk 242 million, capturing 2.8 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share fell 0.13 per cent to close at Tk 305.50.
United Power Generation and Distribution Company featured a turnover of Tk 212 million and grabbed 2.5 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share closed at Tk 186.5, inching up 1.80 per cent.
BBS Cables posted a turnover of Tk 188 million, grabbing 2.2 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share closed 1.25 per cent higher at Tk 129.
The share price of FAS Finance and Investment ended 0.86 per cent higher at Tk 23.50. The company generated Tk 182 million, making up 2.1 per cent of the total turnover.
