The top 10 turnover leaders on Sunday captured 41.95 per cent of the turnover featured by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
Three of the turnover leaders were also in the list of top 10 gainers. The companies are Central Pharmaceuticals, Silva Pharmaceuticals and Shasha Denims.
Summit Power on Sunday featured the highest amount of turnover and grabbed 12.40 per cent of the market turnover.
The premier bourse DSE posted a turnover of above Tk 5.76 billion, of which Tk 714.8 million came from transactions of Summit Power.
The company's share price declined 4.66 per cent or Tk 2.3 to close at Tk 47.80 each.
Of other turnover leaders, Khulna Power Company featured a turnover of Tk 521.80 million, which was 9.05 per cent of the market turnover.
On Sunday, the company's share price closed at Tk 133.10 each with a marginal loss of 2.79 per cent or Tk 3.8.
In response to a DSE query, the company informed last week that there was no undisclosed price sensitive information for the recent unusual price hike of the shares.
The company's share price rose 24.15 per cent during October 2-10 last.
Shasha Denims captured 3.70 per cent of the market turnover after featuring transactions of Tk 213.10 million.
The company' share price rose 9.91 per cent or Tk 6.6 to close at Tk 73.20 each on Sunday.
United Power Generation and Distribution Company featured a turnover of Tk 188.80 million, which was 3.27 per cent of the turnover featured by the DSE.
The company's share trading on Sunday closed at Tk 349.70 each with a loss of 2.43 per cent or Tk 8.60. Its share price jumped to Tk 368.10 on October 9 from Tk 322.50 on October 2.
In response to a DSE query dated October 08, 2018, the company informed that there was no undisclosed price sensitive information for the recent unusual price hike of shares.
Dragon Sweater and Spinning posted a turnover of Tk 185.40 million and grabbed 3.22 per cent of the market turnover.
Of other turnover leaders, Nurani Dyeing featured a turnover of Tk 144.60 million, followed by VFS Thread Dyeing Tk 136.60 million, IFAD Autos Tk 113.80 million, Silva Pharmaceuticals Tk 110 million and Central Pharmaceuticals Tk 89.2 million.
