Southeast Bank to issue Tk 5.0 billion bond

The board of directors of Southeast Bank Limited has decided to issue non convertible subordinated bond worth Tk 5.0 billion to increase Tier-II Capital of the bank.

The tenure of the bond is seven years, according to an official disclosure on Monday.

The board has also decided that any changes requiring in the feature of the bond’s tenor, issue size or whatsoever as deemed necessary by any regulatory advice or otherwise shall be decided by the board of directors of the company.

The bank has also disclosed July-September, 2019 quarter (Q3) earnings reports on Monday.

As per the Q3 reports, the bank’s consolidated EPS was Tk 0.58 for July-September, 2019 as against Tk 0.76 for July-September, 2018.

In nine months for January-September, 2019, consolidated EPS was Tk 2.82 as against Tk 2.13 for January-September, 2018.

The consolidated NOCFPS was Tk 14.44 for January-September, 2019 as against negative Tk 4.01 for January-September, 2018.

The consolidated NAV per share was Tk. 26.84 as on September 30, 2019 and Tk. 26.80 as on September 30, 2018.

Each share of the bank, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 2000, closed at Tk 12.90 each on Sunday at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

In 2018, the bank disbursed 10 per cent stock dividend.

The bank’s paid-up capital is Tk 11.59 billion and authorised capital is Tk 15 billion while total number of securities is 1.15 million.

The sponsor-directors own 25.14 per cent stake in the company, institutional investors own 32.88 per cent, foreign investors 5.29 per cent and the general public 36.69 per cent as on September 30, 2019, the DSE data shows.
