Pharma Aids recommends 50pc cash dividend

The board of directors of Pharma Aids has recommended 50 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2018.

The final approval of dividend will come during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held on December 27, said an official disclosure on Tuesday.

The record date is December 02.

The company has also reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 15.07, net asset value (NAV) per share of Tk 60.81 and net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) of Tk 12.51 for the year ended on June 30, 2018 as against Tk 9.48, Tk 49.53 and Tk 4.09 respectively for the same period of the previous year.

The company, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 1987, disbursed 35 per cent cash dividend in 2017.

Each share of the company closed at Tk 581.60 on Monday at Dhaka Stock Exchange.

There will be no price limit today on the trading of shares of the company following its corporate disclosure.

The company’s paid-up capital is Tk 31.20 million and authorised capital is Tk 500 million, while total number of securities is 3.12 million, according to statistics from the DSE.

The sponsor-directors own 24.22 per cent stake in the company, while institutional investors own 3.38 per cent and the general public 72.40 percent as on September 30, 2018.
