None of the newly listed companies could fulfil the required criteria for being included in the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) during the period from December last year to February this year.
Through supervision by its index committee, the premier bourse includes companies to its broad index, DSEX, every three months in accordance with the DSE Bangladesh Index Methodology, designed by S&P Dow Jones Indices.
"No newly listed company is being added to DSEX as they failed to meet the criteria of quarterly IPO addition," said a DSE statement.
The DSE officials said a newly listed company has to fulfil some major criteria, including market capitalisation, to be included into the broad index.
"The revised DSEX is supposed to be effective from April 22 next. But the DSE found no new listed company that fulfilled the criteria," the DSE official said.
