Runner Automobiles, one of the country's leading automobile makershas assured employees and staffs of not facing any job cut even though its sales and collections almost cameto a halt due to onslaught of COVID-19 pandemic.
"An instruction has been delivered to disburse full salary of employees and staffs for the month of April. I am assuring that no one will lose job during the ongoing crisis period," reads a letter of Hafizur Rahman Khan, chairman of Runner Automobiles, also a listed company.
Mr. Khan said their productions, distributions and sales almost remained halted since March 25.
"Our business is related to communication and transports which remained closed amid the lockdown. That's why the loss of our industry is much higher than the loss of other industries," said the chairman of Runner Automobiles Mr. Khan.
Mr. Khan said the employees and staffs are the main 'driving force' of his company. "The main objective of his company is to ensure normal livelihood of the employees and staffs."
The chairman of Runner Automobileshas expressed optimism that their company willovercome the loss, incurred so far, through all-out efforts of employees and staffs.
Runner Automobiles was listed on the stock exchanges in 2019.
The company's sponsor-directors hold 50.04 per cent shares, institutions 26.47 per cent and general shareholders 23.49 per cent as on February 29, 2020.
