Most of the listed multinational companies (MNCs) lost prices moderately along with featuring lower turnover in last week following investors' less participation.
The companies' share prices declined ranging between 0.8 per cent and 3.8 per cent per share in five sessions of the last week.
Out of 12 MNCs, seven featured daily average turnovers between Tk 0.8 million and Tk 8.3 million because of investors' thin participation.
The remaining five MNCs featured daily average turnover ranging between Tk 10.5 million and Tk 50.6 million.
Of the companies, British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company (BATBC) witnessed the highest price fall in last week. The company's share price declined 3.8 per cent in five sessions and closed at Tk 1076.5 each on Thursday.
The BATBC featured a daily average turnover of Tk 41.5 million in the week.
During the week, the share price of Marico Bangladesh declined 3.5 per cent to close at Tk 2097.3 each on Thursday.
The company featured a daily average turnover of Tk 10.5 million.
Of other companies, the share price of Berger Paints Bangladesh declined 2.8 per cent in last week.
At the end of the week, the company's share price closed at Tk 1351.1 each. The company featured a daily average turnover of Tk 4.2 million.
Heidelberg Cement Bangladesh witnessed 3.2 per cent price correction and the price closed at Tk 146.9 each on Thursday. The company featured a daily average turnover of Tk 1.2 million in last week.
The share price of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh declined 1.7 per cent to close at Tk 39.70 each on Thursday. The company featured a daily average turnover of Tk 40.5 million.
The share price of Linde Bangladesh also declined 1.7 per cent in five sessions of last week and finally the price closed at Tk 1230.80 each on Thursday.
The company featured a daily average turnover of Tk 8.3 million.
The share prices of RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) declined 1.5 per cent, Reckitt Benckiser (Bd.) 1.5 per cent, Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) 1.4 per cent and Grameenphone 0.8 per cent.
Glaxosmithkline (GSK) Bangladesh was the only one MNC whose share price remained same in last week to close at Tk 2198.1 on Thursday.
