Listed multinational companies (MNCs) have performed mixed in earnings per share (EPS) for April-June, 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year.
Some of the companies' EPS advanced due to efficiency in operating expenses and reduction of corporate income tax rate while some others saw a decline in EPS because of higher cost of raw materials.
Of the companies, the consolidated EPS of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh was Tk. 1.06 for April-June 2022 with a rise of 10.41 per cent from that of the same quarter of the previous year.
The company's consolidated EPS stood at Tk. 1.87 for January-June 2022 as against Tk. 1.85 for January-June 2021, according to information of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
The EPS of Marico Bangladesh declined 4.72 per cent to close at Tk. 32.67 for April-June 2022 from the EPS of 34.29 reported for April-June 2021.
The company has reported its NOCFPS of Tk. 30.19 for April-June 2022 against Tk. 27.38 for April-June 2021.
Heidelberg Cement Bangladesh has reported a loss of Tk 0.66 per share for April-June 2022 the EPS of Tk. 3.56 for April-June 2021.
The company's loss was Tk 3.63 per share for January-June 2022 as against the EPS Tk. 11.79 for January-June 2021.
