The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) has urged the Finance Minister to allow Chartered Secretary profession for Income Tax Practice like Chartered Accountants and Cost & Management Accountants under the Income Tax Ordinance 1984.
"Allowing us the Income Tax Practice will create a level playing field for our growing profession and the Honorable Finance Minister took it very positively towards the development of the profession," a high-level source of ICSB told this correspondent Monday.
The President of ICSB, Mohammad Sanaullah FCS along with Mohammad Bul Hassan FCS, Senior Vice President, Md. Selim Reza FCS, Vice President and Nazmul Karim FCS, Treasurer of ICSB met Finance Minister AMA Muhith at his office Sunday.
The President of ICSB briefed the Finance Minister on various ongoing activities of the Institute and thanked him for his generous support and cooperation for the Institute.
Kazi Md. Shamsul Alam Secretary and Md. Shamibur Rahman ACS Director (A&F) of the Institute were also present.
