Green Delta Capital reappoints MD

Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Green Delta Capital Limited for the 2nd time which was approved by Bangladesh Securities & Exchange Commission (BSEC), the company said in a statement.

The approval came at a meeting of Board of Directors of the company.

Over a career spanning of 16 years, Mr. Rafiq has built a successful track record of sustainable value creation in the field of Investment Banking including traditional Merchant Banking services. He also did the first ever cross-border M&A transaction of Bangladesh including debt & equity funding for 100% acquisition of a company in Malaysia by a Bangladeshi conglomerate.

He has the expertise in originating and successfully executing the deals from various sectors; primarily focusing Infrastructure, Power, Energy, Financial, Agro, Textile, Telecom, Manufacturing, FMCG and Food Processing Sector.

Md Rafiqul Islam was the Chief Investment Officer of Green Delta Capital Limited from July 2011 to October 2015 before joining as Managing Director & CEO, added the statement.

Mr. Islam performed as key note and panel speaker in various international and national conferences, summit and in TV media on Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Private Equity and Venture Capital organized by government and private sector organizations. He is the 2ndVice-President of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA) for 2018-19 and Chairman of FDI Sub Committee for Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BMCCI) for 2018-19.
