The board of directors of GPH Ispat Ltd has decided to enter into a contract for export of 25,000 metric tonnes MS billet to China.
The contract value of the said export is about $10,175,000.
This export contract is of the company's usual course of business, which explores the new market for the company. It is the first bulk cargo Billet export from Bangladesh, the company said through a web posting on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
Each share of the company, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 2012, closed at Tk 26 each on Tuesday, gaining 2.76 per cent over the previous day.
In nine months for July 2019-March 2020, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk. 0.98 as against Tk. 1.49 for July 2019-March 2020.
The net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was minus Tk. 4.37 for July 2019-March 2020 as against Tk. 1.13 for July 2018-March 2019.
The net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk. 17.20 as on March 31, 2020 and Tk. 17.59 as on June 30, 2019.
The company disbursed 5.0 per cent cash and 5.0 per cent in the last one year.
The company’s paid-up capital is Tk 3.78 billion and authorised capital is Tk 10 billion while total number of securities is 378.19 million.
The sponsor-directors own 49.61 per cent stake in the company, institutional investors own 16.40 per cent and the general public 33.99 per cent as on September 30, 2020, the DSE data shows.
