M. Nurul Islam
The Board of Directors of Eastland Insurance Company Ltd and its employees expressed profound shock at the demise of M. Nurul Islam, one of the founding directors of the company, said a statement.
Mr Islam expired on September 2. His Namaje Janaja was held at Al-Falah Mosque, Chittagong on September 4.
His qulkhawni will be held today (Thursday) at GEC Convention Centre, Chittagong after Magrib prayer.
Mr. M. Nurul Islam, was one of the founding directors of National Bank Ltd. and one term Chairman of the Bank. He was the Chairman/Managing Director of Eastern Fashion Ltd., Islam and Company Ltd., Import and Trading House, Star Metal Industry, Jamson Makers & Packers Ltd., ECO Oil Products Ltd. and Nishi Green Fields Ltd.
He was First Vice President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, senior member of Chittagong Club Ltd. and was also involved with a good numbers of socio-cultural organisations.
