Dhaka bourse witnessed a massive plunge on Monday amid investors’ panic driven sales observed from the beginning of the session.
The DSE broad index--DSEX-- lost 4.29 per cent or 184 points to close at 4103.18 points at 12:10pm.
Losers took extreme control over the gainers as 331 declined while only 10 advanced marginally on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
The companies whose share prices rose marginally are BIFC, EBL, Emerald Oil Industries, Tallu Spinning, Salvo Chemicals, International Leasing & Financial Services, Savar Refractories, Sea Pearl Beach Resort, Bank Asia and Pubali Bank.
The turnover stood at above Tk 2.59 billion on the DSE at 12:10pm.
