The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Limited has sought low-cost fund as financial stimulus package to meet operational expenses of brokerage houses and merchant banks amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The appeal was made at a meeting with a delegation of the board of directors of the DSE Limited held at the Bangladesh Bank (BB) headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday with BB Governor Fazle Kabir in the chair.
The four-member delegation of the DSE, led by its Chairman Md. Eunusur Rahman, took part at the meeting.
At the meeting, the central bank advised the DSE delegation to seek financial support by submitting a proposal to the Ministry of Finance (MoF), according to meeting sources.
