The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has encouraged investors to trade through its internet trading service and mobile application ‘CHITRA’ during the countrywide lockdown.
“Traders can safely trade through its Internet Trading Service (ITS) and mobile application CHITRA,” the CSE said in a press release on Monday.
During the pandemic of Covid-19 and prolonged lockdown, investors are encouraged to trade digitally through www.bangladeshstockmarket.com or https://www.bangladeshstockmarket.com/lite after being registered with the CSE stockbroker.
The mobile application CHITRA can be downloaded free from the Google play store, the statement added.
Investors can find more information regarding the internet trading service on the CSE website www.cse.com.bd.
Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) in its directive issued on 30th June 2021 instructed both Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges to promote digital platforms for trading aiming at enabling investors to trade from their homes.
The bourses also discourage clients from rushing into the brokerages and encourage more for trading through mobile apps and other internet-based devices amid the ongoing situation.
