The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has revised its CSE-30 Index on the basis of the performance of the listed companies.
The new index will come into effect from June 30. The port city’s bourse reviews the index twice a year.
After the latest revision, eight companies have been included in the CSE-30 Index while eight were excluded from the previous list.
The new companies which have been included in the list are Bank Asia, Baraka Patenga Power, BSRM Steels, Confidence Cement, Linde Bangladesh, Matin Spinning Mills, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh and Premier Cement Mills.
On the other hand, Aamra Networks, Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Aman Feed, BBS Cables, Esquire Knit Composite, Khulna Power Company, Sandhani Life Insurance and Singer Bangladesh have been excluded from the previous list.
The CSE-30 companies accounted for 23.06 per cent of the free-float market capitalisation of the CSE.
The new list of CSE-30 Index constituent companies are: Bangladesh Steel re-rolling Mills, Bank Asia, Baraka Patenga Power, BSRM Steels, Confidence Cement, Dhaka Bank, Doreen Power, Eastern Bank, Eastern Housing, Green Delta Insurance Company, IDLC Finance, Jamuna Bank, Jamuna Oil Company, Linde Bangladesh, Matin Spinning Mills, Meghna Petroleum, MJL Bangladesh, Olympic Industries, Padma Oil Company, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh, Premier Cement Mills, Prime Bank, Pubali Bank, Square Pharmaceuticals, Summit Power, Acme Laboratories, The City Bank, Premier Bank, Titas Gas and Uttara Bank.
