The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has extended share trading time by 30 minutes until 2:00 pm in line with the banking hours effective from tomorrow (Monday).
Trading on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) will be started at 10:00 am as usual and continue until 2:00 pm instead of the existing 1:30 pm, the regulator said in a statement on Sunday.
The pre-opening session will be from 9:45 am to 10:00 am and the post-closing session will be from 2:00 pm to 02:15 pm.
Bangladesh Bank on Sunday extended the banking hour by half an hour and decided to keep banks open from 10:00 am to 2.30 pm from today (Monday) until May 30 as the government extended the ongoing lockdown another week until May 30.
However, the branches will remain open until 4:00 pm to complete their regular procedures.
