The trading and official activities on the bourses will remain closed from March 26 to April 4 in line with the government holiday, officials said.
The government on Monday announced closure of all public and private offices from March 26 to April 4, including weekly holiday, as part of its efforts to contain the spread of novel coronavirus.
Accordingly, trading and official activities on the Dhaka Stock Exchange will remain closed from March 26 to April 4 as the government has declared general holiday during the period, said a DSE official.
According to a DSE statement, trading and official activities will remain closed from March 29 to April 2, 2020.
But, March 26 is a public holiday due to Independence Day. And March 27, 28 and April 3, 4 are weekends, which mean the total holiday will be for 10 days.
The port city’s bourse, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) will also follow the prime bourse.
