The 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA) was held on Saturday at The Westin Dhaka, Gulshan in the city.
The meeting was presided over by Md. Sayadur Rahman, president of the association, said a statement.
Md. Riyad Matin, Secretary General, Air Cdre (Retd) Md. Abu Bakar, FCA, Treasurer, other members of the Executive Committee and the General Body members of the Association were present at the Meeting.
The Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements of the Association for the year ended 31 December 2019 was approved in the AGM.
The President and Executive Committee Members briefed on the roles and activities performed by the Association during 2019 and also delivered their speech on the future scope of work for the development of the Association and the capital market.
In an open-end discussion, members discussed the present capital market scenario. Before concluding, the BMBA leaders have asked the cooperation of all members and stakeholders in the future days to establish a dynamic and vibrant capital market.
