The board of directors of Agrani Insurance Company Limited has recommended 10 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2019.
The final approval will come during the annual general meeting (AGN) scheduled to be held on September 30 at 11:00 am through a digital platform, according to an official disclosure on Wednesday.
The record date is September 2.
The company has also reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 1.26, net asset value (NAV) per share of Tk 17.39 and NOCFPS of minus Tk 0.71 for the year ended on December 31, 2019 as against Tk. 1.38, Tk. 16.12 and Tk. 0.59 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
In 2018, the company disbursed 5.0 per cent stock dividend.
There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company today following its corporate declaration; however, as per the BSEC Order dated March 19, 2020, the floor price shall be applicable accordingly.
Listed in 2005, each share of the general insurer’s closed at Tk 30.20 on Monday on the Dhaka bourse.
Its share traded between Tk 14.40 and Tk 34.90 in the last one year.
The company’s paid-up capital is Tk 302.45 million, authorised capital is Tk 500 million and the total number of securities is 30.24 million.
Sponsor-directors own 30.77 per cent stake in the company while the institutional investors17.85 per cent and general public 51.38 per cent as on June 30, 2020, the DSE data showed.
