Bangladesh has scored a fighting score of 166 for 8 in the final of Nidahas Trophy at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.

After the initial hiccup, losing three wickets for 33 runs, Mushfiqur Rahim and Sabbir Rahman tried to stabilise the innings.

However, Mushfiq went cheaply for 9 leaving Bangladesh in dire straits on 68 runs for the loss of four wickets.

Then, the ever dependent Mahmudullah with Sabbir put up some resilience but that did not last long either as Mahmudullah was unfortunately run out for 21 with 104 runs on the board.

Sabbir Rahman top scored with 77 runs off 50 balls to help the team achieve the fighting score.

YS Chahal of India broke havoc in the Bangladesh top order taking two early wickets and ending his spell with 3 wickets for 18 runs.

Earlier, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and send Bangladesh in to bat.
