Manchester City is currently enjoying an 11-match unbeaten streak in this year's English Premier League as The Citizens have won 10 of them and drew the other.

Pep Guardiola’s devastatingly attack-minded side beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium in their last match.

Many pundits analysed this fantastic unbeaten run of Man City. According to some, it is the majestic display of football by the midfield duo Kevin de Bruyne and David Silva, that played a crucial role in most of the matches.

Another section of experts is giving credit to the striking duo, Sergio Aguero, and Gabriel Jesus, who have shared 15 goals within themselves. This pair has been troubling the defenders with their skills and pace.

While the young Brazilian sensation, Gabriel Jesus, has earned tremendous accolades from fans, there are another two youngsters, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane, who have made a significant contribution to this Man City side. The duo has netted 13 goals in total, and their incredible pace and regular supply of ball to the penalty box have helped Guardiola better execute his attacking strategies.

There were a lot of discussions and argument regarding Man City's summer spending. The manager had spent more than £120 million on full-backs like Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy, and Danilo. According to an Independent article, Guardiola vigorously defended his spending and said that the results would be seen shortly. His claims have been proved to be true so far as Man City only conceded seven goals in their first 11 matches in EPL.

However, even after such success the Spaniard could not avoid criticism fully. Italian ace defender Giorgio Chiellini is one of those judges who strongly criticised Guardiola's strategies on his defenders' roles. According to him, the manager's philosophy of his defenders passing the ball around instead of going for tackles, winning headers and making interceptions is not setting an ideal example for future defenders. He discussed this issue in an interview with Fox Sports recently.

Nevertheless, among all the criticisms, Pep Guardiola is well on his way to making Man City win yet another EPL championship in recent years. They are currently at the top of the table with a lead of 8 points from the second-placed Manchester United.
