Biman Bangladesh Airlines has become the title sponsor for the upcoming T20 Cricket Series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan scheduled to take place in Dehradun city in India from June 3-7.
The Series will be named as “Biman Bangladesh Airlines Bangladesh-Afghanistan T20 series”, said a media release on Friday.
Three T20 matches of the series will take place in Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun city of Uttarakhand Pradesh of India on June 3, 5 and 7.
All the matches will start at 8.30 pm at Bangladesh local time, reports BSS.
Biman, the national flag carrier, has rich tradition in patronising sports in Bangladesh as it sponsored the International cricket match of Bangladesh cricket team with MCC in 1977 and ICC Trophy Champion Bangladesh team in 1997, the release added.
Biman cricket team played domestic cricket, first division and premier division cricket leagues, from 1978 to 2008. The team produced so many national level cricket players for the country.
