Under-19 World Cup-winning captain Akbar Ali has received his maiden T20 international call-up along with Yasir Ali Rabbi and Shahidul Islam as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the T20I squad on Tuesday for the upcoming Pakistan series.
Experienced campaigner Mushfiqur Rahim has been rested while the men in red and green will be missing out on Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammad Saifuddin due to injuries.
Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar and Rubel Hossain have been dropped. Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Aminul Islam Biplob have been called back.
Besides, opener Saif Hasan has been included in the national T20I setup for the first time.
Mahmudullah Riyad will be continuing as the skipper for this series.
