Australia manage to set Bangladesh 122-run target

Australia and Bangladesh went head-to-head in the 2nd T20I of the series. Both the teams remained the same. So was the pitch and condition. And so was Australia. Unlike yesterday, chose to bat after winning the toss and this time they sent right-handed Josh Philippe on strike against off-spinner Mahedi Hasan. They started better.

But Alex Carey's off form continued as he mistimed his shot in the 3rd over against Mahedi and was caught at mid-on. Philippe also failed being bowled by Mustafizur's stunning cutter in the last over of the powerplay. From there in form, Mitchell Marsh and Moises Henriques went on to build a good partnership of 57 from 52 and was looking comfortable.  Henriques (30 off 25) was sent back to the pavilion by Shakib in the 15th over.

Mitchell Marsh once again fell just short of a half-century (45 off 42) trying to accelerate in the 17th over. Bangladesh did brilliantly in the death overs conceding only 31 runs and picking up 4 wickets in the last 5 overs. Mustafizur Rahman was the peak of the bowlers with 3 wickets and was on a hat-trick in the 18th over. Shoriful picked 2 wickets with Shakib and Mahedi 1 wicket each.  Australia managed to give Bangladesh a target of 122 which should be easy for Bangladesh.
