Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) is observing “University Day” amid joy, enthusiasm and fanfare marking its 15th founding anniversary on Saturday.
The celebration programme began in the morning with hoisting of national flag followed by plantation of tree saplings on the RUET campus.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the university Professor Rafiqul Islam Sheikh opened the daylong programme, reports BSS.
Marking the day, a large number of teachers, students and staff brought out a colorful rally that paraded through the campus. A discussion was also held at the Central auditorium of the university.
Addressing a brief meeting on the occasion, VC Prof Islam sought cooperation from all quarters to run the university peacefully and successfully.
