Until recently, the idea of incorporating the entire NCTB syllabus of class XI and XII in a single app seemed to be an extremely difficult task. But proving this perception wrong, Prottoy app has evolved with its motto of "Click. Learn. Excel" by breaking all the barriers that exist in traditional mode of education. Prottoy is aneducational technology(ed-tech) startup of Bangladesh which was created to introduce an advanced and smarter mode of learning.
Since Covid-19 has changed the dynamics of life vastly, the necessity of a basic curriculum learning app became evident in Bangladesh. As the students of this generation are tech-savvy, visual learning is becoming more popular. Prottoy has pioneered this sector bringing a wide range of visual content. This app provides the opportunity to ask questions and get answers from the most talented pool of Dhaka University, BUET, KUET and DMC students. Hence, learners who are living outside Dhaka, Chattogram and other metropolitan cities will get the opportunity to learn from the best resources.
'ProttoyPoribar' was formed by a bunch of young individuals from different universities of Bangladesh. AnjanKunda, the CEO of Prottoy, is a student of KUET. He played a crucial role in developing the group along with the co-founders. 'Prottoy Visual Learning App' was officially launched on February 21, 2021, commemorating the valuable sacrifices of the language martyrs.
Students can download the app from Google Play Store or Apple Appstore and enjoy all the features of the premium version by paying a subscription fee of Tk 1,199 per month. At present, there are courses on mathematics first paper, physics first paper, chemistry first paper, biology firstand second papers, aligned with NCTB syllabus for HSC. Content for remaining papers will be uploaded very soon.
The key features of the app include more than 5,000 VFX videos, largest online question bank, HSC questions of the last five years with solutions, 25,000 practice questions and answers, over 600 hours of premium video content, admission test questions with solutions of more than 25 public universities. Interactive live classes are held regularly for admission test candidates so that they can prepare themselves better for the tests with proper guidance. The students can ask questions through the 24/7 active ask question feature. Each and every problem is solved within half an hour and over 50 students use this feature every day to gain conceptual and mathematical clarity.
Conventional online learning was a one-way teacher to student approach. Prottoy has turned the table with quick response and interactive learning opportunities. Learners can get a clear concept of any reading material with just a click.
