JU admission test starts tomorrow

Admission test of Jahangirnagar University for the undergraduate (honours) batch of 2021-22 academic year will start from tomorrow, 31st July.

This year's admission test will continue till August 4 in five units. Against total 1888 seats, 2 lakh 84 thousand 606 aspirants are participating in the admission test. 

This information was circulated in a press release signed by Dr Mohiuddin Ahmed, acting director of the Public Relations Office of the university.

The notification further informs that on the first day of July 31, the admission test of 'C' Unit under Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Bangabandhu Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture will be held. Against 466 seats in this unit, 53 thousand 430 candidates will seat for the exam.

On August 1, the admission test of Faculty of Social sciences and Faculty of Law under 'B' unit will be held. The number of seats in 'B' unit is 386. The number of applicants is 48 thousand 348.

On August 2, the admission test of Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Studies and Institute of Information Technology will be held under 'A' unit. The exam of this unit will also be held in the 1st shift on the morning of 3 August. The number of seats in 'A' unit is 466. The number of applicants is 76 thousand 379.

On August 3, the admission test for the Faculty of Biological Sciences under 'D' unit will be held. Admission test for this unit will also be held on August 4 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. The number of seats in 'D' unit is 320. The number of applicants is 87 thousand 728.

The admission test of the Faculty of Business Studies and Institute of Business Administration, IBA-JU under 'E' Unit will be held on August 4. The number of seats in ‘E’ unit is 250. The number of applicants is 18 thousand 721.

Everyday, the 1st shift of the test will start at 9 am. Admission seekers have to go through a tough competition as 151 candidates will compete for each seat this year.
