Education minister Dr. Dipu Moni urged to increase the quality of science education in the theoretical and practical field in line with the developed world.

She made this observation while inaugurating a three-day international conference at East West University (EWU) in Aftabnagar, Dhaka on Friday.

Highlighting the importance of this international conference, the Education Minister said that more such conference should be organized more to popularize the use of advanced technology in digital Bangladesh.

The three-day international conference on Advances in Science, Engineering and Robotics Technology jointly organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of EWU and the Japan-Bangladesh Robotics and Advanced Technology Research Center.

More than 350 researchers from 20 countries including Bangladesh participated in the conference.

The inaugural ceremony of the conference was also attended by Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU, Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser of EWU, Professor Dr. M. M. Shahidul Hassan, Vice Chancellor of EWU, Professor Dr. Fakrul Alam, Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU, and Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Chairperson, Department of CSE, EWU. In this conference, nearly 270 articles were presented and discussed.
