Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Communication Club recently announces ‘Team Trix’ of IBA, DU as the champion team and ‘Team Submarines’ of BUP & ‘Brains of Castemere’ of IBA, Dhaka University (DU) as first and second runner up respectively of “Brandwitz 2017” in a grand finale at capital’s Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel.
Nasrul Hamid (Bipu), MP & State Minister, Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources was present as the Chief Guest while S. M. Moniruzzaman, Deputy Governor, Bangladesh Bank was the Special Guest, said a statement.
From IBA; Prof. Dr. A. K. M. Saiful Majid, Director; Dr. Md. Rezaul Kabir, Assistant Professor and Moderator, IBACC and along with other high officials were also present at the ceremony.
It was the 9th year of Brandwitz which is the flagship competition of the IBA. It is widely known as the ushering and most prestigious business competition of Bangladesh. It is the platform where a large number of business students from universities across Bangladesh get opportunities to exchange creative ideas by participating in series of events.
The competition started off with roadshows which were conducted in 17 universities of Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Khulna. 42 teams from 344 submissions were selected for the second round. 6 teams were selected where 4 of the teams from IBA at the Grand Finale of Brandwitz 2017.
The theme for the final round was focused on ‘Sustainable Banking Practices’. The winning team of Brandwitz 2017 received prize of BDT 250,000, with the first and second runners-up received prize of BDT 150,000 and BDT 100,000 respectively. BRAC Bank was the platinum sponsor and Bangla Trac Communications Ltd was the silver sponsor of this year’s Brandwitz 2017.
