Finance enthusiasts moving towards second round

NSU Finance Club, an esteemed co-curricular club under the department of Accounting and Finance of North South University (NSU), gives the students ample opportunities for both professional and personal development. The club is back once again with its flagship financial case competition of the year and is proud to present the fifth edition of international financial case competition, Blueprints 5.0: Powered by Burger King, structured by Eastern Bank Limited, co-sponsored by Quality Integrated Agro, associated by Mobile Outfitters and Youth Opportunities and flown by Indigo Airlines.

Blueprints 5.0 is an international financial case competition for all undergraduates across the globe where the participants will acquire, enhance and implement their financial knowledge to get a taste of the corporate field as a whole.

Just like the previous editions, this year's competition consisted of three workshops and three rounds. After a very thorough registration process that lasted for three days, the teams moved on to the next stage which was workshop one. It took place on December 06. The competition arranged its second workshop on December 12. Judges from corporate sectors conducted the workshop where students got a much sharper insights about the financial models and how it interacts with the businesses as a whole. SM Samiuzzaman, head of Finance Analysis of Deligram Technology Limited along with Adnan Mehdi, head of Treasury, bKash Limited was present to conduct the workshop for the second round that took place on December 18. This time the participants were enhanced with advanced knowledge about the financial sector to help them solve their case for the second round.

Among more than 300 talented participants this time, the top 36 qualified teams moved to the second round. The champion, first runners up and second runners up will be awarded certificates by the Department of Accounting and Finance, School of Business and Economics, North South University. The champion, first and second runners up will also be awarded  with prize money of Tk 200,000, Tk 100,000 and Tk 50,000 respectively.
