Dhaka University (DU) has decided to reopen its residential halls for the candidates of honours final and master’s examinations from March 13.
The decision was taken at an academic council meeting on Sunday with DU Vice-Chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
The meeting also decided that the examination schedules will be published within two weeks after reopening halls and the offices will remain open full time from February 7.
The residential halls will be open only for honours and master’s examinees.
Earlier, the provost committee of the university proposed to open the halls in the first week of March for the same examinees.
